Hat trick, Palmer downs Southwick

SOUTHWICK – Troy Remillard proved to be a thorn in the side of the Southwick-Tolland Regional High School boys’ soccer team.
Remillard recorded a hat trick to help lead Palmer past host Southwick 5-1 Monday. He even had a hand in the second effort, setting up teammate Dominic Sychtysz.
Remillard tallied his first goal in the 13th minute, assisted in the 25th, and scored in the 35th and 49th minutes. Palmer led 5-0 with a goal in the 54th minute from Eric Droz.
Southwick broke up the shutout bid with a goal from Cooper Wojciak. Mike Sheil assisted on the scoring play.
Owen Roche (10 saves) earned the victory in net for Palmer. Southwick goalies Patrick King (6 saves) and Nick Chambers (4 saves) split duties in between the pipes.

Five different players scored in Southwick’s shutout victory. Matt Daley, Jake Stathers, Hogun Kang, Ryan LeClair, and Dylan Buscemi each notched goals for the Rams (9-1).
Buscemi, Wil Prattecord, and Daley had one assist apiece.
