‘It’s never over…’

NFLlogoLet me be the first to admit the error of my ways.
While my record has been inconsistent this season (9-4 in Week 6), I now have something even worse to admit.
On Sunday, I was unable to watch the Patriots-Saints game on television due to some prior commitments, but I was able to tune in on the radio during the fourth quarter. After Tom Brady threw that late interception, I turned off the radio in disgust. I paid for my poor attitude, missing one of the greatest comebacks in our field general’s sterling career.
I will not make this mistake again.
The Patriots have proved that it is never over until it is over. And so I will adopt that motto for the rest of this NFL season, and beyond.
The same goes for you guys (and gals) as we still have 11 weeks remaining to win weekly gift certificates to some fantastic local establishments. Beat my record in any given week and qualify for the grand prize drawing.
The Patriots take on the Jets this week. While it should come as no surprise that I will stick with this year’s version of the Brady bunch, I promise to tune in for all 60 minutes.
Congrats to Louise Fullam, of Westfield, who at 12-1, managed to edge out Jim Garlo with a winning tiebreaker score in Week 6.
