PALMER – Westfield Voc-Tech wrapped up its regular season against Palmer Tuesday at Quaboag Country Club. The unbeaten Panthers (16-0) prevailed, 20.5-3.5.
Palmer’s top golfer Zack James shot a match-low 37, and his teammates shot no worse than a 45. Still, Matt King just missed out on beating James, shooting a 38.
King will still have a chance to seek a crown as the lone Tigers’ golfer to qualify for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament, the first team qualifier in seven years.
