Lannon, Tigers roll past Red Raiders

WESTFIELD – Heather Lannon had a hand in three scores (2 goals, 1 assist), and Diana Solokhina (2 saves) earned a shutout in net to lift Westfield Tech over Commerce 5-0 in a high school girls’ soccer game Wednesday at Jachym Field.
Sydnie Brock got the scoring started with a direct kick. Emily White contributed one goal and one assist. Jessica Rabtor, in her first game back from suffering an ankle injury against St. Mary, also scored a goal.
Liliya Stepanchuk had an assist for the Tigers.

BOYS’ SOCCER
Rams net tie
Southwick 2, Belchertown 2

Brandon Castor and Bailey Emerson scored for unbeaten Southwick (8-0-3). Connor Geddis assisted on goal.
Rams’ goalie Nick Chambers made six saves.

Agawam 164, Westfield 170

Westfield closed out the regular season with a record of 10-7.

Rams rout Granby
Southwick 23, Granby 1

James Longhi shot a 39, and Southwick completed a 16-2 regular season. The Rams (12-0) were also division champs for the second straight year in a row.

JV GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Southwick def. Ware, 25-8, 25-18, 15-12

The Rams enjoyed a sweep of the Indians from Ware.

JV BOYS’ SOCCER
Southwick 1, Belchertown 0

Jameson Secovich scored off a pass from Kacper Kisala to send Southwick to victory.
Southwick received strong defensive play from Tyler Orban, Austin Davis, Dan Scharmann, Shane Dowd, Matt Keenan, and Chad Birchall. The Rams improved to 9-1.
