Letter: Pease thanks voters, addresses PAC mailer

To the Editor,

I would like to thank the voters in the recent Primary Election. I am humbled that the Republican Primary voters selected me to represent them on the November 3rd Ballot. During these next couple of months, I look forward to continuing to work hard to earn your vote. If elected I will not just be representing one party, but all the citizens of Westfield. I also must thank all the great people who took time out of their busy schedules to support my campaign. I could not have done it without you!

I would like to thank Dan [Allie] for all his hard work and what he does for our city. I hate to address this issue, but I feel my integrity was called into question. Political Action Committees (PACs) by law are independent and have nothing to do with a candidate or their campaign. I am not a politician and was just as surprised as anyone when I received this mailer. I did notify Mayor Don Humason the day I received the mailer since it did have his picture on it. Don told me that there is nothing I could do since it is forbidden to interact with any PAC and that I should just ignore it and continue my campaign efforts. My focus now is to get out and meet as many people of Westfield as possible so that they can learn who I am and what I stand for.

As we move onto the November 3rd election, I would love to hear from the people of Westfield. If you would like to know more about me, go to my webpage or send me an email with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Kelly Pease

Republican Candidate for State Representative
