McCann, rain douse Tigers

WESTFIELD – Westfield Technical Academy fell in a rain-shortened golf match to McCann Tech 14-4 Monday at East Mountain Country Club.
“Both teams played well, despite the soggy conditions,” Westfield Tech coach Bob Eak said.
The match was shortened to six holes, the minimum for an official contest.
Jake Collier and Trent Adam split their matches for Westfield Tech (3-5). Collier and Tigers’ Dave Romani were the low scorers. Nick Moran lost a very close match, but still managed to take a point from his opponent.
