SPRINGFIELD – Westfield State University freshman Naloti Palma and junior Amy Auclair earned All-ECAC honors at the ECAC Division III women’s outdoor track and field championships held May 16-17 at Springfield College.

put and placing sixth in the discus. Auclair shattered her school record in the pole vault with a sixth place finish.
Palma and Auclair led the Owls to 17th place in the highly competitive field of 57 teams from New England, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia and Delaware.
Palma captured the ECAC shot put crown with a heave of 43-11 ¾ to edge Brockport (N.Y.) State’s Nicole Jones (43-9). The southpaw from Westboro threw the discus 126-6.
Auclair shattered her school record by nearly eight inches by clearing 11-7 ½. Last week she had set the school record at 10-11 ¾.
Just missing All-ECAC honors was senior Karen Dowe, who placed 10th in the long jump with a personal best of 17-9 ¾.
Also recording personal bests in the top-flight competition were senior Rachael Cardin (800, 2:18.23), freshman Meghan McNamara (100 hurdles, 15.36), senior Jesse Bylin (100 hurdles, 15.87), and sophomore Kat Palso (long jump, 17-2).
