WESTFIELD – St. Mary’s Corey Papianou had a big hand in helping his high school boys’ lacrosse team, and was applauded for his effort with a big “W.”
Papianou scored five goals and had two assists to lead St. Mary to a 9-7 win over Holyoke Catholic Tuesday at Stanley Park. It was the second win of the season for the Saints (2-8).
Zach Brown was also instrumental in his team’s victory, netting a hat trick (3 goals) and two assist. Saints’ Matt Wurster added a goal.
St. Mary goalie Peter Demos collected nine saves.
