In our first-ever weekly high school MVP poll, Westfield girls soccer player Chandler Pedolzky defeated football star Dakota Moynihan. Pedolzky received 79 percent of the votes, which were received over a three-day period from Saturday-Monday.
Pedolzky netted a hat trick in the Bombers first two games to start the season 2-0.
At the end of each week, The Westfield News sports staff will nominate a total of two student-athletes out of Westfield, Westfield Technical Academy, St. Mary’s, Southwick, and Gateway high schools. Voting will take place exclusively on our Facebook page, and the winner will appear in print and online shortly after the results are in.
Good luck to all of our local athletes this season!
