12:11 a.m.: assist other police department, Westfield State University, 577 Western Ave., WSU police request the use of a cell for Christopher M. Hanechak, 18, of 136 Woodland Way, Russell, who was arrested for being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor, a cell monitor was provided;
12:30 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Court Street, a patrol officer reports a westbound pedestrian was seen to stop and urinate on a Court Street lawn, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
12:42 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Church Street at Washington Street, a community policing officer reports a liquor law violation, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
2:09 a.m.: suspicious persons, Arnold Street, a caller reports two people are attempting to break into his car, see story in the Wednesday edition of The Westfield News;
9:12 a.m.: larceny, Hanover Street, a caller reports that her gas tank was full when she parked her car but in the morning she found the filler cap off the vehicle and about a quarter of the tank’s gasoline was missing, the caller does not require a formal report but wants the incident documented;
12:28 p.m.: larceny, Southampton Road, a caller said that he had left the state and had parked his vehicle at a Southampton Road address, the man said that he had left the keys and $250 in the vehicle and in his absence a known woman had moved the vehicle to his home address in Montgomery and took the cash, the responding officer reports he assisted the man retrieve some of his property and advised him of the civil process to recover property he claims the woman still has;
2:33 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller reports that his wife dropped her wallet at a thrift store and believes an employee picked it up and kept it, the responding officer reports the suspect was not found;
4:17 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street at Columbia Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the car’s registration was found to be expired and it was towed;
4:47 p.m.: found property, Mill Street, a caller reports a motorized bicycle has been abandoned on his property, the responding officer reports the bicycle was stored for safe keeping;
10:59 p.m.: disturbance, North Cherry Street, a caller reports college-aged youths are disturbing her peace, the responding officers report they were flagged down by two tenants who requested assistance with a small party which grew to become an out-of-control gathering, the guests were dispersed and the hosts were advised to call for assistance when they need it;
11:13 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Cherry Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating without a valid inspection sticker, the operator was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Troy Daniel Boisseau, 28, of 12 Phelps Ave., was arrested on a warrant issued in 2012 by Springfield District Court;
11:18 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Main Street at Free Street, a patrol officer reports he observed two parties drinking beer at a bus stop who attempted to hide or discard their beer cans when they saw the officer, both were found to be younger than the legal drinking age, city ordinance violation citations for being persons younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor were issued;
11:50 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Arnold Street, patrol officers report they observed a male party sitting on the sidewalk drinking from a bottle of beer, the man said that he had not known that public drinking is prohibited, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:50 p.m.: animal complaint, Elm Street, a caller reports finding a stray beagle dog, both the caller and a dispatcher attempted to call the phone number on the dog’s collar without success, the director of animal control operations was notified and transported the dog to the municipal animal shelter.
