Southwick senior Alyssa Pompi opened up last week with a thrilling game-winning shot in the waning seconds of the Rams’ field hockey team’s 4-3 win over Turners Falls.
Pompi followed that up with a five-goal effort against Palmer, an 11-1 rout, and then tallied one of two goals in the team’s 2-0 shutout of Holyoke.
Pompi put a bow on the week by capturing The Westfield News MVP of the Week honors with an astounding 87 percent vote on our Facebook Page.
