WESTFIELD – Inconsistent fielding continues to haunt the Westfield Voc-Tech softball team.
Putnam took advantage of six Voc-Tech errors – three in the third inning and three in the fourth – to take a 6-1 lead before crusing to an 11-1 victory over Voc-Tech Wednesday at Whitney Field.
The Beavers tacked on one run in the sixth, and four more in the seventh.
Katie Nesmelova had a hit for Voc-Tech, and played well defensively. Tigers’ Steph Costa also had a hit.
