SOUTHWICK – Nick Hough scored a game-high 28 points, and the Southwick High School boys’ basketball team rallied from an 18-point, fourth-quarter deficit to defeat visiting Renaissance School 71-70 Tuesday night.
Southwick’s Nick Moccio and Chris Molta finished with 14 and 13 points, respectively, to help the Rams stave off elimination.
Jason Winters led Renaissance with 21.
A tough road still awaits Southwick as the Rams (7-10) must win their final three games to earn a tournament berth. They begin a two-game, two-game road trip Thursday at Dean Tech followed by Friday’s contest at Easthampton. Both games tip off at 7 p.m.
Southwick returns home for “Senior Night” Monday against Hampshire at 7.

Lancers shut out
Austin Prep 3, Longmeadow (WHS Co-Op) 0

Austin Prep pitched a shutout at Rockland Ice Rink early Tuesday. Longmeadow (WHS Co-Op) goalies Kayla Brown and Lexi Levere combined for 35 saves.

GIRLS’ HOOPS
Morin leads all scorers with 17
East Longmeadow 56, Westfield 45

Three players scored in double digits to lead East Longmeadow. Anna Curley led the Spartans with 14 points, Delaney Whitehead had 12, and Madison Maurer, 10.
Westfield’s Alexa Morin scored a game-high 17 points. Bombers’ Alexis Wood and Alyssa Manna finished with 12 and 10, respectively.

Laboy nets 41
Dean Tech 50, Westfield Technical Academy 15

Dean Tech went on a 15-2 first-quarter run, and led 24-4 at the half before pulling away. Miquiana Laboy scored a whopping 41 points.
Emily White led Westfield Tech with seven.
