Rams’ baseball rallies past Ware, 9-7

SOUTHWICK – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School baseball team rallied several times, including once in the bottom of the sixth inning for three runs to defeat Ware, 9-7, Wednesday.
Southwick (8-4) stormed back from a 5-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth inning, and closed a 7-3 gap with three runs in the fifth to pull within one.
Jake Goodreau had a spectacular day at the plate for Southwick, collected three hits and three RBIs. Rams’ Vinnie Fortini and Nick Fortini each had a hit and two RBIs, and Andrew Mitchell contributed two hits.
Southwick pitcher Bob Hamell pitched three innings of shutout ball.
