Rams rout Red Raiders

SPRINGFIELD – The Southwick-Tolland Regional girls’ soccer team enjoyed a blowout victory on the road Wednesday.
Southwick tallied goals from five different players to defeat host Commerce 6-0. Natalie Jensen (2 goals), Amber Nobbs (1 goal), Ashley Shea (1 goal), Hailee Hart (1 goal), Alex Mello, all scored for the Rams.
Hart led Southwick with two assists. Kayla Martin, Shea, Lydia Kinsman, and Taylor LeClair each had one.
The Rams’ defense clamped down on Commerce, breaking up the Red Raiders’ shot attempts.
Smith Academy 6, St. Mary 0
Cassidy Snyder recorded a hat trick, and Moira Pitrat tallied two goals to lead Smith Academy Wednesday. Francesca Depergola collected 30 saves for St. Mary.
