WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School golf team suffered a tough loss to fall to 6-9 with three meets remaining, but a pair of Bombers managed to post sensational results in Wednesday’s 259-250 loss to Minnechaug.
Westfield’s Taylor Schmidt shot a personal best 38 at Tekoa Country Club. Schmidt’s outing tied teammate Dan Hickson’s previous best effort for the team.
Hickson was solid as well, finishing up with a 39.
The Bombers next meet comes against Agawam Thursday at The Ranch, beginning at 3 p.m.
