MONSON – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School boys’ track and field team is off and running.
Southwick’s Jon Collins won four events as the Rams won their season opener, 48-57, Thursday. Collins took first place in the triple jump (40-8 ½), high jump (6-0), 400 meters (55.4), and 200 meters (23.8).
Chris Roy won two events for Southwick – the mile (5:14) and two-mile (11:55). The Rams won the 4×100 (Juan Fuentes, Mike Fleming, Nick Peterson, Darius Webb) in 46.6 and 4×400 (Walden Dermotheo, Hogun Kang, Dan Sullivan, Brandon Castor) in 4:18.
Dermotheo also won the 800 meters.
