SOUTH HADLEY – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School boys’ track and field team continued its steady trek toward championship season.
Southwick improved to an impressive 5-1 with a 91-44 win over host South Hadley Thursday.
Jonathan Collins won two events to lead Southwick – the high jump (5-6) and the 200 meters (24.8). Kevin Littlefield (shot put, 35-4), Nick Peterson (triple jump, 39-3), Joshua Noel (javelin, 109-5), Juan Fuentis (100 dash, 11.7), Matt Sitler (mile, 5:11), Dan Lane (400 hurdles, 1:06.4), Ryan Harper (800 meters, 2:18.5), and Chris Roy (2 mile, 11:16) each won individual events for the Rams.
Southwick’s 4×100 relay team also claimed first place. Fuentis, Mike Fleming, Peterson, and Jared Arsenault won the event in 47.5 seconds.
