SOUTHWICK – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School boys’ track and field team have dominated division foes this season. The Rams’ latest effort was no different in a resounding 91-45 win over visiting Hampshire Monday.
Jonathan Collins won three events to lead Southwick (6-1,5-0) – the high jump (6-0), 400 meters (55.9), and 200 meters (24.6). Rams’ Chris Roy finished first in two events – the mile (5:11.9) and 2-mile (11:23).
Kevin Littlefield (shot put, 34-10), Nick Peterson (triple jump, 37-6), Billy Deidolori (95-7), John Devine (javelin, 127-4), Juan Fuentis (100 meters, 11.9), and Matt Merchant (800 meters, 2:17.3) won individual events for Southwick. The Rams’ 4×100 (Fuentis, Peterson, Mike Fleming, Devine) and 4×400 relay teams (Jacob Stathers, Ryan Brederfoerder, Dan Lane, Jesse Gregg) captured victory in 48.6 and 4:07.6, respectively.
