HOLYOKE – St. Mary’s top two singles players’ Zach Brown (No. 1) and Zach Slepchuk (No. 2) returned to form, and the Saints swatted the Holyoke Purple Knights 4-1 Tuesday at Crosier Courts.
Brown (a 6-0, 6-2 victor) and Slepchuk (a 6-2, 6-1 winner), who each suffered their first loss of the season against Belchertown, both improved to 8-1 with wins over Holyoke.
St. Mary’s Austin Gois and Matt Benoit won at first doubles, 6-3, 6-3; Saints’ second doubles pair, Jake Neilsen and Kieran O’Donnell defeated Ben Cornell and Omar Sanchez, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
St. Mary’s improved to 5-4 overall.
