Senior nights set for Gators

HUNTINGTON – Gateway’s fall sports teams are competing in their last home contests where the senior athletes will be recognized by their coaches, teammates, families, and the Gateway Athletic Booster Club.
Girls and boys cross country runners from the school were recognized at their final home meet against Hampshire Regional and Pope Francis High Schools Oct. 15. Three senior girls — Isabel Beaudry-Hathaway, Autumn Marchetto, and Grace Van Buren — and one senior boy, Brett Bonenfant, were honored.
The girls soccer team will have itslast home game on the Booster Field on Oct. 22 against Easthampton High School starting at 6 p.m. Ten senior girls will be honored before the start of the game on the Booster Field, including Ava Auclair, Hannah Coffey, Alexis Cooper, Erin Harris, Nina Iglesias, Charlotte Kazalski, Brynja Miltimore, Ashley Sullivan, Donna Viel, and Rachael Walczak. Home game admission is $2 for students/senior citizens and $4 for adults. Food and beverages will be available at the “Gator Shack.”
The boys soccer team will honor two seniors, Nicholas Herman and Jake Thayer, at its final home game against Duggan High School on Oct. 30, also on the Booster Field. The boys will also be recognized at approximately 6 p.m., just before the start of the game.
