NASHUA, NH – The Westfield Starfires’ brief road trip ended on a sour note Friday night as the Nashua Silver Knights dealt them a 4-0 shutout at Holman Stadium.
Kyle Sandstrom had a hit and two RBIs, and Dylan Jones went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs to lead Nashua (3-4). Silver Knights pitchers Evan Christopulos and Joshua Roberge pitched a combined four-hitter, striking out nine batters and walking just one.
Westfield pitcher Aidan Dunn, of Westfield tossed an inning and two-thirds of scoreless relief. He allowed two hits, one walk, and recorded three Ks.
The Starfires fell to 3-6.
