WESTFIELD – The Saint Mary High School boys’ tennis team shut out West Side, 5-0, Friday at Municipal Courts to recapture a .500 record at 4-4.
Zach Brown set the tone for St. Mary at first singles, defeating Jacob Mountain 6-1, 6-2, followed by Zach Slepchuk and Matt Benoit, who won, 6-1, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-2, respectively.
Austin Gois and Corey Clemente dispatched their foes at first doubles, 6-3, 6-4; and, Jake Neilsen and Keiran O’Donnell took care of their opponents at second doubles, 6-2, 6-0.
