Tigers tear apart Dean, 19-0

HOLYOKE – The Westfield Voc-Tech softball team continues is ascent to a tournament berth.
Voc-Tech bashed Dean Tech 19-0 Monday to pick up its eighth win of the season. The Tigers, who hit three home runs in their blowout victory, are now on the cusp of joining the postseason field in Division III.
Brandi Vangelder, Amber Lindsay, and Elyza Colson each homered for Voc-Tech. Tigers’ pitcher Megan Illnicky proved to be quite effective on the mound and at the plate.
Illnicky pitched a two-hitter, striking out six batters, and walking one. She helped herself out, going 3-for-3 with the bat, including a triple.
