Hello Westfield, especially those in Ward 3…  I hadn’t thought about it until recently but: The Romney factor will definitely make 2019 even more interesting.  Trump and Romney have already clashed, and Mitt has not even been sworn in yet…Or, should Mitch O’Connell be the one to worry first?  Remember Romney’s father was a gov. in Michigan, a wealthy bus./finance family, he was gov. in Ma., Utah was his state, and is again; getting the country covered?  Only hang up will be being Mormon for a lot of self-called Christian Conservatives.

By the way, what the heck happened to the real Republicans: Big spenders, high national debt, anti-free market (with monopolies setting the rules; NIMBY, (a popular social economic even amongst Republicans), and abandonment of the Hamiltonian economic model set by the real/original Federalists; their support for Putin’s Soviet Russia, (it really has not changed: one party government, and timocratic tactics.)  Do remember the Russians shut down Estonia with a cyber-attack, stopped the Rep. of Georgia from defending themselves by hacking, their cyber infiltration of a number of nations elections; and the documented cyber-attacks to trick Americans into fighting (literally) amongst ourselves, to discredit our most fundamental principles and practices, as our electoral process; that has served us quit well for over 200 years; hacking corporate, communications, transportation, and energy providers.  It is not going to be: the next time fire, it will be the next time, a cyber war; with Americans not going to be able to trust one another, thus not stand together.  I wonder, if a Russian lead 911 were to happen now would America come together as we did then?  Or, just seen as FAKE NEWS to harm our relationship with the Russians.  Or, if as then, it was led by a bunch of Saudis, would we say we can’t be sure, not 100% proof, and let it go?

OK, Dems your turn; knock off this Impeach Trump, if there is evidence it will happen, but inciting more conflict doesn’t help.  Also, the idea of creating Constitutional Amendments…a waste of time, energy, and resources.  Please read our Constitution re: how to amend it.  It takes 2/3 of the members of the House AND Senate, and 2/3 of the states to do this…we can’t get half to agree on much easier matters.  As well, the current attack and counter attack strategy and tactics is dysfunctional.  If attacked, people lock heels and fight back.  In any war, the reason for it, is lost in the first battle.  Conversion by the sword DOES NOT WORK!  Americans need to be persuaded and convinced.  Quit acting like Old Worlders who settle their disagreements with a war.  And, demonizing, and stereo typing others likewise doesn’t work anymore.  That con job stopped being effective in the 60’s and 70’s due to universal education, and mass media access.  I think some of our new out-spoken need some diversity training, as well.  You forget that Dems abandoned, and began to exclude the many from direct participation, and replaced it with: we will take care of you; we will tell YOU what your local problems are, and we take care of it for you.  But, you will be allowed to pay for it!!!!  Adding to the Repub., SOP of: we’ll do it for us, oh, I mean you, but, we will allow you to pay for it.  Both, a kind of: bare foot and pregnant practice of: helpless, and dependent approach.  This is where Trump got his supporters.

Along with this was the universal condemnation of males, especially of white Euro-American males.  So many good guys, put in with the bad, so many male victims included with the victimizers.  For many, their world changed with the Great Social Economic Revolution of the 1950’s, but they were left out of a resolution.  They too were abused, used, and then discarded…to fend for themselves, and their families against a culture where the few “well born, well-educated and rich” dominated everything for generations.  Where were those to relate to them, and to them find a way past their pride, and centuries long socially conditioned beliefs?  Granted there are those so attached to their pseudo principles there may not be any help, but we can work with those around them with real American Exceptionalism, and the real reality history of America.  E Pluribus (differences) Unum’s: heterogeneous nation, and people that succeeded well beyond the belief of the Old Worlder.  Not only to succeed and achieve, but, change the world with our American version of life.  That, since WWII,: the most powerful military, the wealthiest nation, and strongest influence on the whole world than any other country in history.  We were able, not perfectly, to meld our moral principles, and our materialistic ones. We created allies, who did not fear us conquering or abandoning them, thus to share the burden.  Remember where these wars were fought…they lost civilian lives, their history, and their basic economic resources in the wars that engulfed them.  OK, I am preaching the American gospel so I best end here.   Your former Ward 3 City Councilor, Brian Hoose …[email protected].
