Westfield opened the weekend with a win over East Longmeadow. In that game, Saturday, Catie Bean, Mackenzie Rae, Emma Winiarksi, and Chandler Pedolzky each scored one goal. Chandler Pedolzky played well on offense, Alyssa Piper delivered a solid defensive effort, and Devon Morgan provided strong goaltending.
On Sunday, the United escaped with their win streak intact when Pedolzky scored the game’s only goal against Agawam. Makenzi Ritchie earned the shutout in net. Aimary Santaniello was named the offensive player of the game; Catherine Morrissey earned defensive honors.
Westfield has now outscored its opponents 46-10. The United will attempt to complete their regular season unbeaten in their final two games against Monson and Ludlow this weekend.
