Westfield whips into finals

WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School boys’ volleyball team is looking three times as good as the competition. That’s because the top-seeded Bombers are headed back to the Division 1 finals, seeking a three-peat.

Westfield caged up the fifth-seeded West Springfield Terriers (12-8), sending them packing in three sets Monday, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.
Shane Kiendzior (12 kills, 3 digs), Noah Kappel (10 kills), Scott Walsh (25 assists, 6 digs), Eddie Loboda (7 kills, 13 digs, 2 blocks), and Tyler Stanton (16 digs, 4 assists) paved the way for Westfield (16-3).
The Bombers will take on No. 3 Agawam (15-5) in the finals Wednesday night at Holyoke Community College at 7.
