Westfield Junior Bombers Mite 1

Amherst 15, Westfield 8

This early morning game started out intensely. Like the speed of lightening, Sean McMahon scored within the first minute of the game to put Westfield in the lead 1-0.
Westfield’s stellar defense started with Parker Stockseth in goal. He had 25 amazing saves. Jake Balser had a season high 3 goal game. Cody Bard and Sean McMahon each had 2 goals. Liam Dolan had 1 top-shelf goal along with 3 assists. Gavin Trzepacz had 2 assists and Jacob Millard had 1 assist.
Charlie Wilson and Joey Jubb also played great offense today. Andrew Galczynski and Isaac Durfey played good defense. Amherst was able take the win but Westfield played with a lot of energy today.

Westfield’s defense started with Gavin Trzepacz in goal. He had 15 saves for the day.
Liam Dolan was on fire on offense with a 3 goal game. Cody Bard was quick on offense and had 2 goals. Joey Jubb, Andrew Galcynski and Jacob Millard also had a goal each. Parker Stockseth had an assist.
Jake Balser and Sean McMahon gave the team support on offense today. Isaac Durfey played good defense. Ludlow was able take the win but Westfield played with a lot of intensity today.

Westfield Jr. Bombers Mite 3 Black
Division: Mite 3 vs. WTM

There would be no rest on this Sunday morning for the Mite 3 Black Jr. Bombers as they faced off against a strong WTM team. A low scoring battle due to the outstanding efforts in net by Milana Shuman, and a great defense in front of her supported by Olivia Pinney, Matty Bussell, Treygan Lemanksi & Carsen Michelucci. The Jr. Bomber offense was lead by Connor Laiho & Daniel Methe with 2 goals each, followed by 1 goal each from Alex Saalfrank, Josh Cormier-Healy & Josh Masse.

Westfield Jr. Bombers Mite 3 Black vs. Ludlow Red

Another early morning game for the Mite 3 Black Jr. Bombers was on tap on this Saturday morning, and you could tell that the ate their Wheaties this morning. With a barrage of goals from the Jr. Bombers lead by Matty Bussell & Connor Laiho netting 3 each. Treygan Lemanksi put another 2 home, with Josh Cormier-Healy & Daniel Methe each with 1 to round out the offense. Milan Shuman roamed the crease with laser focus and a steely determination keeping Ludlow to single digits against her. The defense was once again stout for the Jr. Bombers lead by Carsen Michelucci, Olivia Pinney, Alex Saalfrank & Josh Masse.

Westfield Jr. Bombers Mite 3 Black Vs. Amherst

The Jr. Bombers took the ice with Josh Cormier-Healy leading the way in net and the offense ready to roll. Scoring was lead by Treygan Lemanksi with 4 goals, Connor Laiho netted 3, Daniel Methe & Alex Saalfrank got 2 each, and Carsen Michelucci finished it with 1. The defense once again on fire, lead by Josh Masse, Matty Bussell, & Olivia Pinney.

Westfield Jr. Bombers Mite 3 Black Vs. Ludlow Black

With the New Year rung in it was time for the Mite 3 Black Jr. Bombers to take the ice with the renewed vigor of seasoned veterans. Josh Cormier-Healy led the team on the ice taking the crease with the eye of the tiger. The offense was lead by Treygan Lemanksi with 4 goals, Alex Saalfrank with 2 & Daniel Methe with 1. The defense was fierce as always lead by Olivia Pinney, Matty Bussell, Carsen Michelucci & Josh Masse.

Saturday 1/9
Amherst 4, Westfield Squirt 3 Black 2

Despite a valiant effort, the Westfield Squirt 3 Black squad feel short against Amherst at Amelia Park on Saturday by a score of 4-2. Amherst came out skating from the opening faceoff and tested goalie Evan Mastroianni with many tough shots. After two first period goals, Westfield’s Thatcher Berman scored to cut the lead in half. However, that was as close as it got. Amherst pulled away with two third period goals. Quinn O’Brien’s goal very late made the score close, but it was not enough. It game was well-played, but saw the home team lose by 2.

Sunday 1/10
Westfield Squirt 3 Black 4, Holy Name 2

In their last game before hosting the Fire and Ice Tournament next weekend, Westfield Squirt 3 Black sprinted out to a 3-0 lead in the first 8 minutes and never looked back as they went on to beat Holy Name 4-2. Mike Miller, Quinn O’Brien and Jacob Hanselman netted first period goals, all well-placed shots against Holy Name’s strong goaltender. O’Brien scored a second, deflecting a hard shot from the blue line by Mason Garrity. Holy Name furiously waged a comeback in the third period. They scored two goals in two minutes, but with the inspired two-way play of Sean Rodgers and great goaltending of Joe Tymeson, that was all they could get against Westfield.
