WESTFIELD – The Westminster School softball regular season ended with the Martlets compiling a perfect 14-0 undefeated season giving them the Founders League Championship for the eighth time in 10 years.
Westminster finished runners-up to the Williston Northampton School in the Class A Western New England Tournament. Over the last two seasons, the Martlets have compiled an impressive 30-2 record. Local starters included junior pitcher Brenna Monroe, junior second baseman Gabby Brown, and sophomore first baseman Katie Neilsen.
Westminster will keep much of its core foundation together, making the Martlets a dominant force against next year. Only two seniors graduated from high school this season.
