LONGMEADOW – The Westfield and Longmeadow high school baseball teams embarked on a marathon five-hour game Tuesday.
Westfield pushed across runs in the third and 11th innings. Longmeadow scored one run in each of the second, fifth, and 11th innings.
The game ended in the 11th inning with the game tied 3-3. Both sides’ athletic directors will meet to decide whether the game will continue, or result in an official tie.
“(It was) 13 long and grueling innings,” Westfield coach Rich Discenza said.
