Bombers bounce back

WESTFIELD – The Bombers are back.
Isaiah Headley and Manny Golob delivered 21- and 20-point outbursts for Westfield, and Colin Dunn had 12 as the Bombers bounced back from a shaky weekend loss with a high-scoring victory.
Westfield defeated Commerce 77-57 in front of the “Bomb Squad” Monday night.
Richard Barnett had nine points for the Bombers (5-2), who enjoyed a double-digit lead the entire second half.

Haskell, Mastello pace Gators
Palmer 70, Gateway 53

Peter Kowal scored a team-high 18 points for Gateway. Gators’ Johnny Haskell and Shane Mastello had nine and eight points, respectively.

DePergola, McKenna led Saints
Franklin Tech 66, St. Mary 32

Giovanni DePergola and Steve McKenna scored six points apiece to lead St. Mary in a tough, physical loss to Franklin Tech. Jake Butler and Andrew Ilnicki each had five points for the Saints.

GIRLS’ HOOPS
Easton top Saint
Holyoke Catholic 62, St. Mary 12

Kyra Robins exploded for 21 points, and Julia Hiney chipped in 15 points to lead Holyoke Catholic at Westfield Middle School North.
Alissa Easton led the Saints with five points. Karissa Foley finished with four, and Lauren Chapdelaine had three.
