WESTFIELD – The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) will hold a “Meet and Greet” with Dr. Martha von Mering, Westfield Public School’s new Administrator of Special Services on Thursday, March 1, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Westfield Technical Academy cafeteria.
Von Mering, who was appointed by the City Council to the position on January 4, most recently served two years in Springfield Public Schools as the executive officer of Special Services, after serving 11 years in the district as the Compliance officer. She also has several years of experience with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
“As a SEPAC, we want to give families a chance to meet the new administrator and get answers to any general questions they may have. As a SEPAC we try to encourage communication, and the current administration has been very transparent,” said Michele Douglas, SEPAC parent leader.
Refreshments and child care will be provided at the meeting. For more information, email [email protected]. Upcoming events are listed on the district website at http://bit.do/westfieldsepac.
