WESTFIELD – Women’s soccer standout Kayley Miller has been named the Westfield State University 2013 Senior Female Athlete of the Year.
Miller led the highly acclaimed Westfield State women’s soccer program to the NCAA Tournament and MASCAC championships the past two seasons. Her quiet leadership and explosive scoring anchored the Owls to their first ever NCAA Tournament victory in 2011 and their first undefeated regular season in 2012.
The Ludlow native was a three-time first-team all-conference selection, the 2012 MASCAC player of the year, and a 2012 All-New England selection.
Last fall she set school records with 20 goals and 49 points in a season, and was ranked fourth nationally with eight game-winning goals. She also holds the school record with 119 career points.
