WESTFIELD – Westfield’s Katelyn Puza blasted two home runs in her home park, and the unbeaten Bombers’ softball team crushed Amherst 15-1 Monday.
Puza (2-for-3, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs), Jesse Pratt (3-4, 3 RBIs), and Syd Ezold (3-4, 2 RBIs) led Westfield’s offensive onslaught. Jules Sharon (2-4, RBI), Maddy Atkocaitis (2-4), and Kate Menard (1-2) contributed at the plate.
“We hit the ball pretty well and played a good game,’ Westfield coach Joe Stella said.
Westfield pitcher Jen Moller scattered four hits over the mercy-shortened, five-inning game. She struck out three and walked one.
