Sullivan, Schmidt drive club

WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School golf team may have suffered a 252-265 loss to South Hadley Monday, but the Bombers reached a couple of highs, or rather, celebrated lows.
Westfield’s Connor Sullivan shot a team-low 40, and Taylor Schmidt hit an eagle-2 on the par-4 sixth hole at Tekoa Country Club Monday. Schmidt put a wedge in the hole from 80 yards away.
The Bombers next match will feature a home contest against East Longmeadow Wednesday at Tekoa Country Club at 3 p.m.
