WESTFIELD – The Westfield Voc-Tech girls’ soccer team’s home crowd was jumping for joy as the Tigers silenced the Franklin Tech Eagles 3-0 Tuesday at Jachym Field.
Steffany Costa scored the team’s first goal, thanks to a pass from Amber Lindsay. Katie Nesmelova tallied the second goal with a pass from Costa. Ashley Lees tacked on an unassisted goal.
Julia Levkha played spectacular defense for Voc-Tech.
Tigers’ goalie Megan Illnicky made three key saves in a shutout.
